This 85mm medium telephoto micro lens is the perfect choice for close-up, portrait, nature, and general photography. It is compact, lightweight, takes very sharp images, and auto-focuses very fast. Nikon's VR II image stabilization capability allows for very clear handheld photos. With a shooting capability of up to 4 shutter speeds slower than would otherwise be possible, it assures dramatically sharper images. The lens will autofocus from infinity to 10.8" producing a life-size (1:1) image giving a flattering perspective for portraits. With lens-mounted macro lights and a front element that does not rotate with internal focus makes it also ideal for macro close-up work. The rounded 9-blade diaphragm allows for more natural appearance of out-of-focus elements.
