The 7D mark II is great for sports and wildlife photography, great for video.
Sports and Wildlife Photography: Thanks to dual DIGIC 6 processors it can produce up to 10 shots per second. The dual pixel CMOS auto-focusing system contains a total of 65 all cross-type focusing points which means all of them can focus on vertical and horizontal lines. Also, the focusing points are spread over almost the entire sensor so you don't have to focus on objects that are near the center of the screen. The 7D Mark II also features the AI Servo AF III tracking system for locking onto moving objects soccer players or birds. This is the sames as on the much more expensive 1DX camera. This camera works well with extenders because the center focusing point can autofocus at f/8. Most other cameras need f/5.6 or larger for the autofocus to function. The low-light sensitivity is also greatly improved which makes this a great indoor sports camera. It also has a flicker detection for when shooting fast shutter speeds indoors. The camera detects the flicker of the artificial lights and synchronizes the shutter release so photos are captured when the lights are at their brightest.
Video and Cinematography: The 7D Mark II has excellent special features for video, starting with a tilt display for aiming during low and high shots. In live-view mode, AF during video capture is possible thanks to enable professional pull-focus effects when tracking moving subjects. Alternatively, focus following can be achieved by tapping on the touch screen when recording. The focus transition speed is configurable. It can record full HD in both MOV and MP4 formats at 60 frames per second for slow motion playback on your video player. It has both a 3.5mm microphone jack and a headphones jack, uncompressed HDMI output to support an external monitor or recorder. HDMI audio output is useful for syncing audio with external recorders. It has three compression schemes for recording; ALL-I for high quality, IPB for smaller file sizes, and IPB-light to minimize storage capacity. Other video features include timecode support, silent movie mode, and It has two memory card slots; One CF card and one SD card.
