This lens is highly regarded by pros and serious amatures. It’s very sharp, very fast, and very well built. You will not be disappointed by this lens. It’s superior to zoom lenses in corner sharpness, which makes it a real winner for full frame shooters. It’s a great portrait lens for working outdoors where you usually have more distance between you and your subject so you can take advantage of the environment in your photos. It’s also ideal for indoor sports. We usually pack this lens along with a 35mm, 50mm, or 85mm prime to cover a basketball game. Get a spot along the baseline and use the shorter prime during the first half to get some action under the boards, then use the 135mm during the second half to bring the mid-court action a little closer.
