This is the newest 70-200mm from Nikon that was released in late 2016. The overall performance of this lens is fantastic. The autofocus is ultra fast and it focuses closer, with less distortion, than any other 70-200 lens. The image stabilizer on this lens is an improvement as well, letting you shoot at slow speeds hand held, which will eliminate the use for many people for a tripod. This is a smaller lens than its predecessors, and has four AF lock buttons around the lens so you don't have to use any other fingers to lock focus at the camera. You will be extremely impressed with what Nikon did with this lens!
