This is an effective and portable portrait studio lighting package. All three lights can be controlled individually or within groups from the camera using the camera-mounted ST-E3-RT transmitter. A typical set-up would be to use the umbrellas as the main and fill lights, and use the diffuser as either a hair light or a backdrop light. The umbrellas have very efficient bright white interiors that give similar output as silver umbrellas without the harshness. The diffuser can be used close to the subject to separate the the subject from the background, or hidden behind the subject to light the backdrop. The transmitter can control up to 16 600EX-RT speedlites. Additional units can be added to this package by ordering additional 600EX-RT speedlites. Doing so would enable you to have both a hair light and a backdrop light.

Each flash unit requires 4 AA alkaline batteries, not included.
The transmitter requires 2 AA alkaline batteries, not included.
