The Nikon TC-20E III AF-S is the latest 2x teleconverter from Nikon, and provides a 2.0x increase in focal length. It is designed to be used with Nikon AF-S and AF-I telephoto lenses. It's not intended to work with all AF-S lens, only the telephotos. Other lenses physically won't mount on it, including the Nikon AF 80-400mm.
With our inventory of lenses, this means it only works with these:
Nikon AF-S 105mm f/2.8 Micro (autofocus not supported)
Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8 IF-ED VR
Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II
Nikon 300mm AF-S f/4D ED (autofocus not supported)
The use of this teleconverter reduces the aperture by two stops.
