The SB-600 speedlight has a guide number of 30/98 which gives a flash range of 2 to 65 feet. It features i-TTL control and can be used with Nikon's Creative Lighting System (CLS). It operates as a stand-alone Speedlight or as a wireless remote unit. The Flash Value Lock (FV Lock) allows photographers to change the composition or zoom of the shot while maintaining the desired lighting of the subject.

Requires 4 AA alkaline batteries, not included.
