This is the latest addition in Nikon's great series of 70-200mm lenses. It hit the streets in November 2009. It has every bit of the versatility of the previous version with a few important improvements. The VR has improved to 4 stops instead of 3, sharpness has improved in the corners, and it will focus a bit closer than before. We thought the previous version was great (and still do.) It's hard to believe it could be improved upon. We're going to keep it around a while because it is a great lens and we can offer it at a lower price than this new one. For those of you who demand the latest and greatest, here it is. You won't be disappointed.
