This the updated version of Tokina's very popular super wide angle zoom lens. This version has improved multi-layer coatings on the glass which provides an improvement to the optics by minimizing light reflection. The images are sharp and the wide f/2.8 aperture is very useful for interiors. Great build quality. It uses Tokina's One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism to switch between manual focus and autofocus by snapping the focus ring forward for AF and rearward for MF. The PRO DX-II has a silent focusing motor which is ideal if shooting video with your digital camera. Caution: This is a DX lens so it's not designed for full frame cameras.
