This is a very nice lens.
There are several versions of Canon 300mm f/2.8L lenses. This one has the image stabilizer and was introduced prior to version II, but after the non-image stabilizer version.
300mm f/2.8L IS USM II lenses sell in the $4000-$5000 range.
300mm f/2.8L IS USM lenses (this one) sell in the $2000-$3200 range.
300mm f/2.8L USM lenses sell in the $1000-$1500 range.
This lens comes with the hood, soft lens cap, tripod mount ring, the carrying case, and the original box. The glass is in excellent condition and everything functions properly. A very few minor scratches have been touched up with authentic Canon paint. It looks really good.
